Bladder Infection

Bladder infections also comprehended as urinary tract infections (UTIs), can occur in cats of any breed, including Maine Coons. UTIs are usually compelled by bacteria entering the bladder through the urethra. Cats with UTIs may show discomfort or pain when urinating and may urinate more frequently or outside their litter box. They may also have blood in their urine or exhibit a change in appetite or behavior. If you suspect that your Maine Coon may have a bladder infection, it is essential to have them studied by a veterinarian as soon as possible. UTIs can be treated with antibiotics, though if left untreated, they can lead to more severe complications.
