Gender Mature
In principle a female can be mated for the first time when she is clearly in heat. The age at which this happens varies from 6 to 18 months (on average 9 months). This also depends on body weight and the time of year. An often occuring heat can cause a cat to lose weight or cause her to be unfinished.
