Cats walk on their toes like dogs. Our heel (which we have on the ground) is their heel (which doesn’t come on the ground). Cats can walk very precisely. They can put their back leg directly into the footprint of the corresponding front leg. This minimizes noise and tracks. It also ensures a good grip when they are on rough terrain.
